Question:

I want to mount steps on the tailgate of a 2020 Ford F150, XLT with truck camper in the bed. I am wondering if TorkLift has a solution for this tailgate mounting position? Would the Brophy mounting adapter #TSSB for tailgate work with TorkLift steps? The Brophy steps dont have adjustable legs for uneven terrain and from a customer review have a 6 inch gap between tailgate and the first step, which is a hazard especially at night. Thus the TorkLift steps have some appeal to me. Do the TorkLift steps reduce this 6 inch gap between tailgate and first step? From the photos it appears so, but I am not sure. Does the Brophy tailgate mounting adapter #TSSB change the entry height any? My top of tailgate when down is 31inch so I am right on the edge of 3 scissor step Brophy ranges for entry height. From photo it looks like the tailgate mounting adapter lowers the entry height and inch or two is that correct?

The Brophy Tailgate Scissor Step Mounting Bracket, # TSSB is not confirmed to fit with the TorkLift GlowStep Camper Scissor Steps, # TLA7503-8000. The # TSSB is however designed to work with Brophy manufactured steps of similar dimensions to the Torklift brand.

However, we do have the Universal Mounting Bracket for TorkLift GlowStep Scissor Steps, # TLA75001 that work with the TorkLift GlowStep Camper Scissor Steps, # TLA7503-8000.
