Features to know about

Carry Bikes and Gear with Confidence: Class III 2" Hitch Receiver

This Curt trailer hitch receiver gives you a dependable, everyday way to haul your favorite gear. With a 2" x 2" receiver opening, it’s ready for bike racks, small trailers, or cargo carriers. It’s rated for a maximum gross trailer weight of 5,000 lbs and a tongue weight of 500 lbs. When used with weight distribution, those ratings increase to 6,000 lbs GTW and 600 lbs TW. Whether you’re towing a small camper or adding storage space for a trip, this hitch brings solid utility to your setup.

Built Strong for Everyday Towing: Fully Welded Steel Construction

The square-tube design is fully welded for lasting strength and stability. Each weld is done by precision robotics to ensure consistent quality and a precise fit. This solid build means you can trust it to handle regular towing or hauling duties without flexing or twisting under load.

Keep Rust Away for the Long Haul: Dual-Coat Protective Finish

A gloss black powder coat finish sits over a protective base coat to fight off corrosion and chips from road debris. The coating not only looks clean under the bumper but also keeps the steel protected in wet or salty conditions, so the hitch stays in good shape season after season.

DIY-Friendly Bolt-On Install: No Welding Required

You don’t need specialized tools or a workshop lift to get this hitch installed. It bolts directly onto the vehicle frame using the included hardware kit, and there’s no welding required. The bolt-on design keeps things straightforward for anyone taking on an installation project in their driveway or garage.

Great

by:

One man and a floor jack is easily installed. Worst part of the job is removing old OEM hardware.

by:

have not put hitch on yet but the customer service is very good at what they do helped me get addressed for delivery changed when i was getting nowhere with UPS

by:

Perfect fit/easy install just like the rest of the products I've purchased from etrailer.

by:

Amazing tow hitch for my Chevy S10 blazer the only place I could find a perfect match for my vehicle. Looks amazing, great price and just excited to use it already. Thank you very much!

by:

This is the 5th receiver I've bought from etrailer. Easy installations, great prices and fast shipping.

by:

Overall quality i would have given it 4 or 5 star. However installation was a pain. I installed this onto my 1991 Chevy s10 Blazer Tahoe sport. The plates on either end of the bar that bolt to the frame had to be bent/stretched outwards to actually fit over the frame. That was the only downside to this tow package. Other than that the welds on it look excellent and seems to have decent quality paint but only time will tell.

by:

Trailer hitch was a real tight fit, needing a little persuasion to get into place, but otherwise was a simple bolt in to the factory bumper mounting holes.

by:

Love it!! Great quality and customer service. Took a little while to install, but that's because I was unfamiliar with the underside of my vehicle. I promoted y'all in my [online] vid when I installed it.
I use it for my little 5×8 trailer for trash runs and hauling my lawn equipment. I don't think it even knows it's hauling anything though...

by:

Hitch was a precise fit. I am impressed with the quality and the grade of hardware you supplied.

Will not hesitate to order from you again.

Pictures upon request.

Great. Have had complements on fitfinish. I particularly like the way the hitch bolts directly to the frame of my rig.

by:

It was a exact fit, It was tight at first but with a floor jack and some jack stands I was able to move it into position for a great fit no drilling or welding. It looks like the welder done a excellent job with the smooth even welds please thank him for me.

It bolted up perfect for my 1988 Chevy S-10 4x4 Blazer. I have not towed anything with it yet but it looks good and detours people from hitting me in the rear.

by:

It is a really tight fit around the frame, I had to use a hydraulic jack to get it into place.

  • Hitch Recommendation for a 1989 Chevy S-10
I have a solution for you, but the The Draw Tite Hitch part # 75129 that you referenced has been confirmed as a fit for the full-size 1989 Chevy Blazer so it would not fit your S-10. Instead you would want the Curt Hitch part # 13083. It will install in the holes that are drilling already in the rear frame of your vehicle. The trailer wiring kit you would want is the Hopkins harness part # HM41115. This will be very easy to install and would work great. Check out the install video I...

  • How To Install A 7-Way Trailer Connector On A 1994 GMC Jimmy
To install a 7-way connector on the back of your vehicle you will first need to install a 4-flat connector and then use the Brake Controller 7 & 4 Way Installation Kit, # ETBC7, to hardwire a 7-way connector to the your vehicle. If you have the full size 1994 GMC Jimmy you will need to install the Curt T-One Wiring Harness, # C58044. This will give you a 4-flat trailer connector at the rear of your vehicle. If you have the smaller 1994 GMC S-15 Jimmy you will need to use the Draw-Tite...

  • Ballmount for Towing Rental Trailer With 1994 GMC Jimmy
The Curt Class III you mentioned, part # 18083 would be an excellent choice. To choose the correct ballmount, we typically recommend measuring the receiver height of the vehicle and the coupler height of the trailer. The difference between these two measurements would be the rise or drop needed for your ballmount. If the receiver height is taller than the coupler height, use a drop. If the receiver height is lower than the coupler, use a ballmount with a rise. I have linked you to an FAQ...
