Does Rear Bumper of 2022 Buick Envision Remove to Install Curt Hitch

Question:
I purchased the Kirk hitch for my 2022 Buick envision all the instructions say I follow the instructions to the t it is impossible to get this hitch in without removing the rear bumper as you cant get around the dual exhaust I dont understand how the instructions dont specify anything like this

We have had some feedback from customers who had installed the Curt hitch # C94ER on a 2022 Buick Envision and the consensus seems to be that the exhaust needs to lower for the hitch to fit past it. This would be easier than removing the rear bumper and is a pretty standard step for most hitch installs. It basically comes down to removing the hitch hangers which are rubber isolators that secure it to the vehicle and letting it hang a little lower.
