Question:
Hi! I’m new to towing and want to get a travel travel trailer. I’m looking for the max weight I can pull with my 2015 Kia Sorento LX 4- Cylinder 7 seater w/ 2 wheel drive / Trim Package H9 please. My owners manual says max 1650 lbs for LX with, but I saw much higher weights on your site under my model. Also which tow hitch on your site will be the safest if I’m towing whatever the max weight for my model is please?

The trailer hitch I recommend for a 2015 Kia Sorento LX is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13152 which is a direct bolt-on fit with no drilling required. It has a 6,000 lb weight capacity but this rating comes from the hitch only which is tested separately from the vehicle. If the vehicle is rated lower which it will be in 99% of cases then that is the rating you'll need to abide by. Therefore, your towing capacity is 1,650 lbs per the manual regardless of which hitch you choose.
For a trailer wiring harness, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118583 which is plug-in-play.
