How To Find Correct Trailer Wiring Harness for 2019 VW Golf

Question:

Hi there. I ordered your 118646 wiring kit for my 2019 Golf but it does not fit. The connectors are very different. Your sales dept contacted Tekonsha who said it definitely should fit. Is it because I am in Canada? Looking at your product C56383 which is for a 2019 VW Atlas, it has the correct connectors. Can I use that one for my Golf? Thanks.

There are multiple trailer wiring harness options for a 2019 Volkswagen Golf because there are so many different trim levels; GTI, Alltrack, R, Sportwagen, etc. In order for us to confirm fit we will need to know which exact one you have. The Tekonsha T-One part # 118646 fits most models but there are ones it does not fit such as the Sportwagen and Alltrack and in which case you would use the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT which requires a battery connection but does not require splicing.
