Why Is The etrailer Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs # e84YR Only Compatible With 8-12" Wheels?

Question:
why does the axle Item # e84YR say only for 8-12 wheels? with 5 on 4.5 larger wheels would fit. thanks

The Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs # e84YR shows for 8-12" wheels as once move up to larger diameter wheels you move into weight ratings that are much higher than the axle rating. Having wheels and tires with higher weight capacities means that the tires will not flex as they should for that load. Which will cause the trailer to bounce more and add additional stress to the axle and suspension being used.
