Question:
I presently have a Prodigy P2 on my truck is the P3 functionally better?
asked by: Bill G
Helpful Expert Reply:
The functionality of the Prodigy P2 and P3 is basically the same with the difference in the controllers being the LCD display in the P3.
Both controllers can be used with both electric brakes and electric over hydraulic brakes however with the P3 all you have to do is toggle between the two functions whereas on the P2 you have go through a process to change modes.
The P3 LCD screen also uses actual words for setup and troubleshooting versus the P2 which displays codes that you have to refer back to the installation manual for clarification.
Since both controllers install the same way, to change the units out simply unplug the P2 and plug in the P3, however, you will need to make all the necessary adjustments on your P3 just as you did when you installed your P2.
