Heavy Duty Equalizer Kit for 33 inch Axle Spacing Where Equalizers Hit Frame

Question:

Hello I have a car hauler with 3500lb axles and 33 inch axle spacing. I want to replace the suspension with dexter equalizer and shackles. My equalizer is 7 and 3/4 wide center hole and 2 and 3/4 tall from center holes. K71-449-00 is the same size equalizer but states it’s for 35 inch axle spacing. K71-359-00 is for 33 inch axle spacing but equalizer is not the same size. I do have an issue with the shackles contacting the frame. Would I be able to use kit k71-359-00? I would also be replacing the 25 inch leaf springs.

Since your current equalizers are having issues with hitting the trailer frame that would indicate that they are too long currently so going with the shorter # K71-359-00 would be what you'd want instead.
