Bumps and dips can really toss your trailer around if the suspension can’t flex right. This curved equalizer connects 1-3/4" wide double-eye leaf springs on tandem or triple axles and keeps things steady by letting the axles move with each other. At 6-1/8" center-to-center between shackle holes and 2-1/2" tall from top to bottom hole, it spreads the impact across both axles so the ride stays smooth and your load doesn’t bounce around.
Loose or mismatched bolt sizes lead to sloppy travel and noise. With 9/16" diameter holes at the center and ends, this equalizer fits standard suspension bolts and hangers for a snug, reliable connection. It mounts cleanly without guesswork, restoring proper alignment so your springs, shackles, and hangers all work together as they should.
Uneven loads and road shocks put stress on each axle differently. This equalizer balances those forces by pivoting between them, so one axle takes up slack when the other hits a bump. The result is better tracking on the road, less wear on tires and suspension parts, and a steadier feel behind the wheel.

I replaced the plastic bushings with the bronze bushings, and added a grease zerk at the pivot. With the shackle bolts being wet bolts I'm sure this will be a great upgrade to my trailer suspension.

Bushing holes are rough with slag in them. Make sure you have a strong reamer / drill bit to clean them out. My buddy warned me beforehand and provided the drill bit. Glad he did or I'de be up on jack stands!
My boat trailer broke and I needed to replace the entire suspension system. I called around to local businesses and would have to wait several weeks for them to order the parts. I began searching online and found etrailer.com. I looked up the parts I needed and all of them were in stock. The shipping was free and the parts were received sooner than I could have ordered them from a local retailer. Also, the price from etrailer.com was cheaper than what I would have had to pay locally. replaced the suspension on my 5th wheel--all went well and now I am much releived to lub with a grease gun and not a oil can. one of the wet bolts was defective--I called you sent one out quickly--thanks
Our trailer is just like the one in the video that demostrates changing the equalizer and shackle straps. This equalizer was the closest in size to our old one although the height is shorter but the trailer sat too high anyway. We changed all the shackle bolts,bushings and shackle straps. It took 3 hours and 2 people, but I have to say the trailer now rides real smooth and quiet. The real test will be when we need to haul the next load of livestock. Very happy with the quality and fast shipping.
It's an equalizer, looks like a caste part, not machined. It did come with bushings, a point that I would like to have known, because I now have more inserts on hand than I need.
My total order included bolts, shackles and bushings. Prices for these parts were very competitive for the market place. However the cost for standard shipping was pretty much out of line. Also, for the amount paid for shipping, eight days to receive was a little slow.
On the plus side, installation was a breeze, and any questions that I might have had were more than adequately addressed on the web site.
Parts are O.E. for my trailer . Part is a match for my old part.
I had already purchased a Heavy Duty Kit but the equalizer was not the correct one for my equipment. When I called to see if you had the correct equalizer your rep. couldn't
find the 356 part I needed and we settled on a more triangular one that had the right measurements for the bottom width ( 6 1/4") of my o.e. but was an 1 1/2" higher. After I hung up from him I searched you web site and found the right TREQ356 part listed.
I tried to get him back on the phone / and left him a message. I called back got another rep. got the right part ordered and he sent me a shipping label to return the part that was actually the wrong part for my trailer.
So Thank You very much for your swift attention to my problem. Everything else in the Heavy Duty Kit is enter-changeable and seems to fit great.

my friend ordered springs and hardware for my pontoon trailer. man did they get here fast. everything in one box. packed real good. no damage, nothing lost or left out. I finally got everything back together. fits great. i was worried that the springs where going to be to light, but the trailer sits just like new. sorry no pics. I was to greasy to get the camera out. But its like new again. yes etrailer.com i'm gonna be back next time I need parts. and i've already told all my friends with boats and trailers about etrailer.com . So far the trailer hasnt moved since I replaced the parts. Its sitting nice and straight though!

These were just what we needed for repairs on our 1983 stock trailer. The old parts were quite worn. We gave the trailer a face lift as well, and it should last another 37 years.
Excellent service and prices. Needed to replace curved equalizer, shackles and bolts, nylon spring bushings, u-bolts, and wheel bearing seals on my sailboat trailer. etrailer had everything and shipped it fast. Staff at etrailer was excellent!
I have not installed these yet. However, the holes for the bushings appear to be out of round. I will update once I receive the replacement bronze bushings and install them.
