I have a great option for you. The Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 is going to be as easy of an install as you will get for a brake controller for your 2022 Honda Passport. The reason this will be an easier install is because it is a wireless brake controller, so you will not need to run a wire into the cab of your Passport for the controller.
As with any brake controller, you will need a 7-way connector. If you do not have any trailer wire connector at the back of your vehicle, then you will need to start with a 4-way connector. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56291 is a confirmed fit for all models of the 2022 Honda Passport and will provide the 4-way flat that you will need. You will then use the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation # ETBC7L to adapt your 4-way into the 7-way that is needed for the Echo brake controller.
If you already have a 4-way connector then you will only need the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation # ETBC7L. The only way to get a 7-way on your Passport is to have a 4-way and adapt it into a 7-way.
