Battery Charger For Opus OP4 Camper That Requires a Separate Wire To Connect To Tow Vehicle Battery

Question:

I picked up an Opus OP4 and it came with an additional cable from the trailer that can connect to the vehicle and charge directly off the alternator according to the sales rep. is that a thing and what would I need to make that work if it is?

Typically this is done through the 7-way connector as there is a charge circuit built in that will help maintain the battery on your Opus OP4 camper.

A unit like the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # RED96FR will have a wire that will need to be ran to the battery to ensure that it gets the power it needs directly from the vehicle battery.
