I contacted the manufacturer about a remote for the MaxxFan Deluxe Model 8501K. They informed me that the Replacement Remote # MA00A01151K will work with that model.

The MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat #MA00-05100K that you referenced runs on 12 volts and draws 5 amps max. If your DC outlet can handle 5 amps then this would work but it would be right at the limit.
