Dim or dead amber lights make your trailer harder to see from the front and sides. This LED upgrade replaces older incandescent fixtures and helps keep your rig visible, compliant, and ready for the next trip without constant bulb swaps.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Optronics Amber LED Surface-Mount Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Light. Now, this is an amber LED marker and clearance light that's designed to keep your trailer clearly visible from the front, rear, or side. So, this is gonna help other drivers see you, especially in those low-light conditions, which makes it a great safety upgrade. Now, I'm gonna go ahead and shut my studio lights off here just so you get a better idea of what this is gonna look like in the dark. One of the nice things about this light is that it is PC-rated, which means if you mount it at a 45-degree angle on a corner, it can pull double duty as both a side marker and clearance light.
So, instead of needing two separate lights, this one can handle both functions in the right setup. Going to draw a lot less power than old-style incandescent bulbs. As you know, LEDs tend to last much longer, so you won't be replacing bulbs nearly as often. Turning my lights back on here, the housing is fully sealed. It's a fully sealed polycarbonate, which means it's going to be built to keep out water, road spray and debris.
That's gonna be especially important on trailers that see rain, snow, or rough road conditions. Installation's gonna be pretty straightforward. Let me go ahead and unhook this here just so I'm not continuing to blind you here. This is gonna be a simple two-wire setup. The black is gonna be for power, the white's gonna be for ground.
This is gonna run on a standard 12-volt DC system. This is going to surface mount, and lemme see if I can give you some measurements here. Looking at the spacing on our mounting holes, on center, bringing that in, it looks like we are sitting pretty close to 4 13/16 inches on center on the mounting holes. Hardware is not going to be included with this, by the way, so you'll have to source that on your own. The overall length, looks like we're sitting right at about 5 3/4 inches end to end.
The overall height, right at two inches, and then the depth or thickness, pretty close to about 1 3/8 inches. So, this is gonna be a great light. It's gonna hold up really well for you. If you happen to have any other questions though, don't hesitate to reach out to us. We do wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well, again, my name's Andy. Thank you for joining me.
