Features to know about

Built for Everyday Hauling: 2,200-lb Capacity Steel Wheel

When you’re towing a loaded trailer, you want a wheel that won’t give up under pressure. The Dexstar Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel measures 15" x 5" and carries a 2,200-lb capacity with a 0 offset, giving balanced strength and stability for consistent highway performance. It’s built to meet Department of Transportation standards so you can roll with confidence mile after mile.

Fights Rust and Corrosion: White Powder Coat over E-Coat Primer

This wheel stays sharp even after seasons of use. Its white powder coat finish is applied over an e-coat primer, sealing out moisture and road grime. That dual-layer protection keeps corrosion from creeping in, making it a solid choice for trailers that see wet weather or long-term outdoor storage.

Simple Fitment with Common Specs: 5 on 4-1/2" Bolt Pattern and 3.19" Pilot Diameter

Getting the right fit doesn’t have to be complicated. This wheel uses the standard 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, a wheel bolt size of 1/2"-20, and a pilot diameter of 3.19". With zero offset, it centers evenly on the hub for proper weight distribution and dependable tracking behind your tow vehicle.

Strong Design that Looks Clean: Classic 8-Spoke Style

Function meets form with the sturdy steel construction and timeless 8-spoke pattern. It’s a durable design that resists flex under load and gives any trailer a refreshed, clean look without unnecessary flash—just solid performance that lasts.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Sorry to say the trailer hasn't left the yard in 2020 due to the pandemic. All the events we normally trailer to have been cancelled for 2020. The new wheels look much better than the original painted wheels.

by:

I ordered this rim to use with a second spare for our travel trailer. All of the specifications are identical to our existing five rims.

After a previous purchase for a different trailer that involved two returns, I was cautious about using this one until I could verify that it ran true, so today I had my tire guy mount this on his balance machine without a tire or stem.

Though it is better than the two "offshore" rims I received a couple of years ago, it still has some run-out. It does not appear out of round, but slightly "wobbles". We carefully verified that the mounting surfaces were clean and without manufacturing defects.

After a tire is mounted and balanced, it will suffice, but it sure isn't the same quality that I expected for a rim that's touted "Made in the USA".

by:

I needed a spare wheel for my spare tire for my cargo trailer. Checked etrailer and wheels were listed. I knew I needed a 15" rim, but what wheel pattern? Video tutorial helped choose the correct one, so ordererd. Received wheel about 2 days earlier than scheduled delivery date. Checked wheel on hub.. Perfect fit!

by:

The spring part seems weak. It has held up so far. Drove 3000 miles 1500 with a load of about 1200 lbs. Handles well on hiway but off road, like my gravel sandy clay road with wash boards, cattle guards and bumps, uneven terrain yet not serious off road altogether, the things are tipping at times and slowy becoming lower and less travel. Occasional the entire trailer bounces in air. These will need replacement before too much longer and seem a bit weak over all. Nice quiet sound and overall great but just not heavy enough to hold up off the smooth hiway

Good customer service

Gets the job done! Needed a mounted spare tire for my utility trailer and filled the need. Always fast service from etrailer and would not hesitate to shop from them again.

Thankfully I have not need to use the mounted spare yet, but having it available is a huge plus. Trailer is stored outside, but the wheel continues to look new with no visible rust or corrosion. Never disappoint with items purchase from etrailer, and they continue to be a primary source for parts and accessories for my trailers and trucks.

by:

Great product, very quick delivery, spot on description of product. Quality in every respect. I will do business with this merchant the next time I need one of their products and suggest anyone else do the same if they want a very fair deal and to be treated with the greatest respect. This is business the old fashion way and should be used and supported!

by:

I never mounted them because I wanted to have them balanced, but there was no way any of the four wheels I purchased could be balanced.

They would be fine for yard debris trailers at the right price point.

On purpose or not, It's not lost on me that the brand name of these wheels is easily mistaken for a very high quality trailer parts company, but don't be mislead.

If you buy new tires for your rims, you can choose to have them balanced if you prefer. Remember that many trailer wheels are centered by the position of the lug bolts - these wheels are lug-centric - and not the center bore of the wheel. For best results, have them balanced using a pin plate adapter. This mimics the way a lug-centric wheel is mounted to a hub.

Perfect match of our utility trailer wheels. Beautiful finish!! Needed a spare wheel for our spare tire. Super fast and well protected shipping.

Very well. Best place to buy rims. Most helpful website for measuring right size rims

by:

The rim is good just had to order twice cause the website application had the wrong size and had to pay to return it and pay a 2nd time (shipping) for the correct one. Not comfortable about that.

Just great. I would recommend-reasonable price for a good product. They still look brand new and there have been no issues.

by:

The service was great.
I called to verify
that the Rimma was ordering was what I needed because it was unclear on the website exactly what I was ordering.
The gentleman on the other end was able to help me out and I got the correct wheel.
I find it a little bit disturbing that the same wheel with a five bolt pattern Was $20 less than a 4.5 bolt pattern.
However, I was happy to receive a good quality wheel for my trailer

Best wheels on the market for my applic ation.

  • How To Determine The Trailer Wheel Replacement Needed
There are a few measurements needed to ensure you get the correct wheel replacement, but it is difficult to determine from just a picture. I've attached articles to help with the proper fit by measuring the bolt pattern of your wheel, the width from bead seat to bead seat, and the diameter. If you need further help, send me the photos and the dimensions you have and I'd be happy to assist.

  • Trailer Tire vs. Trailer Wheel Weight Carrying Ratings
If a trailer tire and wheel each have different weight capacities then the lower-rated item of the two determines the overall capacity of the combination. You can certainly run a tire with a lower or higher weight rating than the wheel its used on but you will be limited to the capacity of the lower-rated component. The key for safe and legal trailering is to ensure that the lowest-rated component is rated adequately for the load on it. Extra capacity in other components is fine but you're...
