How to Find Correct Replacement Landing Gear Set

Question:

How I determine the type of landing gear on my 5th wheel 2003 Forest River Ultra light? I need to replace the gears that actually drive the legs up and down.

You might be able to find a sticker on either leg that will tell you who the manufacturer is and what the part number is for the leg as well. If you aren't able to find that then you can try reaching out to Forest River with your VIN to see if they have a record of what landing gear you have.

If neither of these options help you out then I recommend replacing your landing gear set. For a simple replacement option we have the Landing Gear Set w/ Handle # RVLG-8HDL. This has an 8,000 lb weight capacity and offers a 36-1/2" lift. The weld stops have a distance of 15-1/2" between them inside to inside so if that's what you measure on your current set then this will be a direct replacement. You can also upgrade this to a powered system with the 12V DC Motor # LC142178.
