I have a 2022 Ram 3500 with a short bed. The truck came with the Mopar 20k hitch. I tow a 2018 40’ High Country Montana. Will this king pin work?

Pin boxes are bolt pattern specific so you would need to find out the bolt pattern of the pin box currently on your 2018 Keystone Montana High Country 5th wheel trailer and match it with the corresponding Sidewinder. The bolt pattern is usually listed on the pin box either on the front of sides, but there are cases were the tags wear off or get painted over so you can use the attached help article below to determine the bolt pattern of your pin box.

For example the 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin w/ Sidewinder and Turret - 16,000lbs # ST400-5AS16K you referenced is compatible with the following bolt patterns: Leland 7910, Leland 7920, and Leland 7921.

In the past the Mopar 20k hitch was the same as the Curt Q20 # C16530-16021 which is not compatible with rotating pin boxes. Later, it was the A20, which is not compatible with Sidewinders. So, you'll want to contact Curt with your hitch information to ensure that your hitch is compatible with rotating pin boxes at all. Either way, you won't be able to use a Sidewinder with your current hitch.
