Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this replacement XL hitch bolt for your RockyMounts hitch mounted bike racks. Now this is basically going to be an upgraded hitch bolt for your RockyMounts hitch mounted bike racks. This is going to replace the standard bolt that normally comes with the rack, but it's about 15 millimeters longer. That extra length can make a difference if your hitch setup needs a little more reach to secure everything properly. This is going to work the same way as the original bolt, including being compatible with RockyMounts lock pods, so you can still lock your rack in place, if you're using those.

Just keep in mind, the lock pods aren't included with this bolt. And on some vehicles, like certain Rivians and Toyotas with welded plates on the hitch, the lock pods might not fit at all. Just so you're aware of that. We do have additional pieces of information on this product page if you are looking for any more information that I did not cover with you. Now, just for the sake of size comparison, this is just a unscientific reference here I'm doing for you, but even though we're usually measuring these things in millimeters, for the most part, I'm just putting this up on my ruler here like you would measure a bolt.
