Question:
Looking for your suggestions on a trailer hitch package for my son’s Mustang convertible coup. He has a 1.25” mount bike rack he wishes to use. Does the Curt 11210 need stabilization straps for bike rack? Thank you for your time. Best 1.25” trailer hitch for 2013 Ford Mustang Convertible non GT? Best trailer wiring kit?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11210 which is a fit for a 2013 Ford Mustang Convertible does not require a stability strap, just the bike rack will be fine. It has a class I rating with 1-1/4" opening so any bike rack with a 1-1/4" shank will work great. The trailer hitch features a bolt-on install.
Please note, you won't need any sort of wiring harness if you're just using the trailer hitch for a bike rack, that's only for towing and in which case you could use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56088.
