Question:
Will this hitch work on my flatbed? I have gooseneck ball that is recessed in 13.5 X 17.5 inch space. Also would like to know what is involved in the install. Thanks.

The Anderson Fifth-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter, part # AM3100, installs in about an hour on standard fixed 5th wheel pin boxes to adapt them for towing with a gooseneck hitch. Anderson does not recommend it for use with a cushioned pin box.
This adapter fits a standard 2-5/16-inch gooseneck ball and is rated for up to 24,000 lbs GVWR and up to 6,000 lbs tongue weight. It provide a vertical adjustment range of 3 inches (from 11-3/4-inches to 14-3/4 inches height) and is fitted with a remote release cable, so you do not have to climb into your truck bed to lock the coupler. All required hardware for attachment to your 5th wheel trailer is included in the kit. Installation instructions will be sent in a separate email.
Since I do not know specifics for your truck or trailer, please note that the measurement from the bottom of the king-pin plate to top of the hitch ball when trailer and truck are level ranges from 11-3/4 inches (when the adapter is collapsed) to 14-3/4 inches (when the adapter is extended). 5 to 6 inches clearance from the trailer overhang to the truck siderails is required.
We offer a coupler with 8 inches of offset for short bed trucks, part # AM3139.
We also offer a slide hammer to ease installation of the inner threaded collar around the trailer king pin. This item is part # AM3103. Safety chains are also available, part # AM3109.
