I have a 2022 Volkswagen Atlas and I am looking for a trailer hitch and a wiring harness I can install myself.

I would be happy to help set your 2022 Volkswagen Atlas for towing. I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" item # C24ER. It has a very clean installed look and a pretty easy install. I have attached a picture and an installation video so you can see the process and what the final product will look like.

For your wiring harness the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # 118754 is the way to go. Tekonsha's wiring harnesses are the most reliable in the business. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your Atlas's wiring harness located in your rear cargo area. You will have to remove the threshold cover, cargo trays, and some interior paneling to access this harness. I have attached an installation video.

To round out your towing setup I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop.. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
