Question:

I have a Thule Elite Van Xt Bike Rack mounted on the rear door of a Ram Promaster 2500 camper van. I would like to be able to attach a ski rack to this. It looks like the Thule Snowpack 6 might work if the locking clamps can be oriented parallel to the ski rack to accommodate the parallel vertical bars on the bike rack, as the bars and the clamps are both about 24 inches apart. Any advice?

I like where you were going with mounting the Thule SnowPack # TH7326B on the Thule Elite Van XT # TH302043. I went to the warehouse and verified that the T-Bolts that come with the SnowPack will indeed fit in the tracks that are used for the Elite Van XT. You might be able to mount the SnowPack on the vertical bars of the rack using the strap system but I'd be afraid that your skis/boards might be hanging out further than your van.

A roof rack would probably work out better but it's my understanding that camper vans like what you have typically don't have much extra space. If you do have extra space on your roof let me know and I can see if we have a solution for you using that method.

@Colby Thanks for asking! What Alan is wanting to do isn't something that Thule designed these products for so they don't have any photos of this, and when I verified the T-Bolts would fit I took just the T-Bolts and not the whole rack so I don't have a photo either.
