Should 1 or 2 Crossbars be Used to Haul Long Kayak on 2022 Toyota Tacoma

Would you recommend two cab crossbars for the front of a canoe or one should be fine? I plan on utilizing the hitch bed extender for the rear of the canoe. Its a 17 foot 70 lb canoe.

Since your 2022 Toyota Tacoma has a smaller bed and you're wanting to carry a longer canoe I encourage you to use a 2-bar roof rack system. For this I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex system which includes the following:

To keep your canoe safe from scratches on the Malone Axis Truck Bed and Roof Load Extender # MPG907 I recommend using a foam block like part # MPG159 and then using something like the Rhino-Rack Pad and Tie-Downs # RRRWP04 to secure the canoe to the roof rack.
