Question:
I need to lengthen my trailer tongue by about 6. It is an aframe hitch. It looks like simplest thing to do would be to replace existing weld on aframe coupler with one that extends further is longer. What is the longest 50° aframe 2 5/8 that you sell? What is the width at the rear of the coupler?

Expert Reply:
The longest a-frame coupler style would be a sleeve lock like the part # CA-5296-B. The width of it is 9-7/8 inches which you can use that dimension as a way to tell where it would fit on your trailer and then from that point out measure 16-1/4 inches to see how much additional length it would add beyond what you have now.
