Question:
Looking for a trailer hitch wiring harness for a 2014 jetta GLI. Should be straightforward, but got a bit confused as I read somewhere that the GLI lights may be different and require a different type harness? Some guidance is appreciated. Thank-you

Correct, the GLI models have different tail lights so you won't be able to use a plug-in trailer wiring harness. That said, we do still have an option in the Curt Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C56496 which will hardwire directly into the wires behind the tail lights. It provides a 4-pole/4-way connector which is the most common and widely used.
If you don't already have a trailer hitch picked out then I recommend adding the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11474. Don't forget the Ball Mount part # C45520, Hitch Ball part # F-4,and Pin/Clip part # C40018.
