Question:

Awaiting 2022 Ford F-250 SD with Ford puck system installed, 6.75 bed. Which BandW Comp do I need? Do I have to have the slider or can I use the fixed one?

We still recommend using a sliding fifth wheel hitch in short bed trucks like your 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty. However, there is a way you can check the clearance between your cab and trailer to determine if you can use a fixed or sliding hitch.

You can do this by taking A = Distance from center of fifth wheel hitch jaw to truck cab and subtracting C = Width of trailer divided by 2 (to get half). So A - C= your clearance. You need at least 4" of clearance to safely make a 90 degree turn.

If you have the clearance then the B&W Companion OEM 5th-Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # BWRVK3300 would be the hitch you need.
