Can 8 inch Trailer Wheel be Replaced with 12 inch Wheel and Tire

Question:
If I have the clearance could I replace my 4 bolt 8” wheels with 4 bolt 12” wheels? And would the pilot hole be the same? Thanks Ps 14’ aluminum boat trailer

Trailer hubs that a 8 inch wheel can also fit a 12 wheel so yes you could upgrade to the larger wheel size. So you could use a 5.30-12 tire and wheel like the part # AM30780. The pilot diameter would be large enough to fit over the hub pilot. Since the wheel actually centers on the lug nuts and not the hub pilot it wouldn't be an issue.
