Question:

I will install this hitch mount on my 2021 Atlas to tow my RV. The RV weight is 3,500 lbs. Is this hitch mount strong enough or you will recommend something different?

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C93CR that fits the 2021 VW Atlas Cross Sport has a maximum towing capacity of 5000-lbs (the same as your 2021 VW Atlas), so this hitch is rated just fine to tow a 3500-lbs trailer and will do a good job. Curt hitches have a thicker powder coat than some others on the market, which helps protect the hitch from nicks that might lead to rust and corrosion on the hitch, so it's generally what I recommend using. If you DO NOT have the Atlas Cross Sport then you'll need the Curt # C24ER

You'll also need a wiring harness, ball mount, hitch ball, hitch pin and clip to complete your towing setup. For the wiring harness I recommend using the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # TK89FR because of the reliability of Tekonsha wiring harnesses and converter boxes. To complete your towing package I recommend using an adjustable ball mount like the Curt Multi-Ball Adjustable Ball Mount for 2" Trailer Hitches # D900 since it allows you to tow a variety of different trailers with the 3 different hitch ball sizes and adjustability to be used in various rise or drop configurations to keep your trailer level.
