This trailer hitch receiver is built for everyday towing and hauling jobs. With a 5,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 750 lbs maximum tongue weight, it handles campers, small trailers, bike racks, and cargo carriers with ease. The standard 2" x 2" opening makes it compatible with a wide range of accessories so you can use the gear you already own.
You don’t need a lift or special tools to get this hitch on your vehicle. The fully welded design bolts directly to the frame using included hardware—no welding or drilling needed. Precision, robotic welding ensures the hitch lines up right the first time, saving time during install and giving you a solid fit that’s built to last.
The hitch is finished in a high-gloss black powder coat over a rust-resistant Bonderite coating that protects it inside and out. This dual-layer finish keeps corrosion at bay and maintains a clean look even after years of exposure to road grime and weather. The sturdy, square-tube steel construction provides dependable strength for towing and carrying heavy loads.
The concealed cross tube keeps the main body of the hitch tucked out of sight so only the receiver is visible below the bumper. You get a strong Class III hitch without changing the look of your vehicle’s rear end—a clean, factory-style appearance that doesn’t compromise performance.

The box that the hit came in hsf multiple holes. Really need to have some better packing to avoid issues. Didn't see damage to the unit, but will see if I need to paint any ends due to the box issues.

Very nice hitch. Had to ream out the access hole to re-attach the exhaust mount that was off center with the frame threaded hole. Very good instructions.
Hitch came in a box that was heavily damaged was opened and tapped closed. The hitch had scratches and some through the paint to bare metal. The parts bag was ripped open and tapped closed . Disappointing as a paid for a new hitch not used one
Fast shipping! Came 5 days ahead of projected time. Box it was shipped in had holes in it from handling, one large hole. Luckily the hardware package was still floating around in there. Hitch was banged up and scratched, but it’s a tow hitch and it’s hidden behind the bumper anyways.
This product fits the 2021 VW Atlas cross sport perfectly. No trimming of the rear bumper needed. Due to the nature of the hitch style it does sit quite low to the ground. Only installation complaint is that the rear most bolt on the drivers side is in a horrible spot. Hard to tighten the nut. Impossible to get a torque wrench in there. Only tool that fits in there was a 19mm flex head ratcheting wrench, or a 19mm standard wrench. No room for leverage to tighten. This nut is about 2 threads less tight than the rest due to this inconvenience.

Installation was as expected. No trimming is needed but I did trim a small piece that was resting against the hitch. My biggest problem with the hitch is that it leaves no room for the muffler and when driving over bumps I can hear the muffler banging into the hitch which is not ideal. Now trying to figure out a solution to stop the muffler from hitting the hitch.

This is a common issue and we even have an article that covers three different ways to fix it. You can relocate a bolt on hanger, bend the hanger, or replace the rubber isolator. I linked the article that has step by step instructions for you.

Hitch is working great. Solid quality!
I recently purchased a Curt Class III model receiver hitch model C93CR for a 2020 BW Atlas Cross sport. It was delivered on 6/10 via UPS. I know Curt products are top of the line. The price was right and the customer service has been nothing short of excellent. I thought that the product would have been better protected for shipping. This is a coated steel product that will rust if the coating is removed or damaged. I did touch up a few minor issues but it should be fine. I will re review once I install and use, mainly purchased for a bike and ski rack. etrailer offered to replace the unit right away which goes to show the lengths they will go to satisfy customer concerns. Well done!

Over the past year I have used the 2” receiver hitch for a Thule bike rack and folding platform with ramp for my snowblower and generator. It works great and is super sturdy. The only downfall is that the receiver sits lowers to the ground than the factory installed hitch. The platform bottoms out on a steeper than average driveway. Other than that it works just as described.

Great product and not difficult to install. But I do recommend having some help to line things up properly.
Thank e instructions said I would have to trim to have it fit, I didn’t need to.
My only complaint is the package was beat to hell but luckily there was only cosmetic damage and after buying some paid you can’t tell.
Prompt delivery. Box beat to hell. Touched up with sand paper and coats of paint where metal was all scratched off and metal exposed. Excellent fit. Wife says it took me 2 hours. Ends should be wrapped with thick bubble wrap!

Oof the hitch had a rough journey. I can assure you that the hitch is new however I can see the damage to the paint. Customer Service will contact you. I recommend using a rust resistant paint on the scratches.
