Great item, great price and fast shipping

by:

The length is just right and its heavy duty and ajustable all in one package.

by:

It is just what I needed. The price along with free shipping made it affordable.

by:

Can't ask for a better ball mount system.

by:

I received my adj. ball mount 1 day early and in great shape!

by:

very heavy duty hitch fast shipping i'm very pleased

by:

Product was delivered quickly. I wanted a hitch that provided options and adjustments. This fills the bill.

by:

The "durable powder coat" on this is a JOKE. This thing was chipped up just from shipping and will probably rust fast. Other than the obvious flaw in the coating, this item seems promising. It was pretty much what I was looking for. I haven't gotten to use it yet, I am sure it will function fine although rusty.

by:

This hitch is exactly as stated. It is heavy and very long, but that is what I wanted. The ball rotates smoothly and the adjustment is easy. I absolutely have to remove it when not in use to avoid shin banging.

by:

I received this product yesterday and put it together today. Everything was as pictured when ordered. I'm going to use it this weekend to pull a rental trailer. Can't wait to try it out. It looks and feels like it could haul anything I need. Thanks.

by:

It was exactly what I saw on the site and it was shipped very quickly. With all three balls (1 7/8", 2" and 2 5/16") . Combined with adjustable height, I can pull any trailer with my F-150!

by:

Fastest ShipperI ordered several items on-line late on 12/5/10 and I received the order on my door step on 12/8/10. The shipping was free on this heavy order and it got here to Wyoming in less than three days. I've ordered many towing-related items from eTrailer and I've never been disappointed.

by:

This is exactly what I need to go pick up a new trailer without knowing in advance how much drop or rise I'll need. If I decide to use it routinely I will first replace the pins with something that doesn't look inviting to a teenager, though.

by:

internet buying is hard for me because i am fairly demanding. etrailer makes quality differentiations very simple. the only downside i have seen to this hitch is the weight affects my gas mileage.

by:

I wanted a heavy duty ball adjustable ball mount for my new HD pickup. I was very surprised at the weight and heft of the mount. The receiver bar and the bar the balls are mounted on are solid steel with the holes for adjustable positioning drilled out of the solid bars of steel. This makes for an extremely stout mount. UPS left it at the front door and my wife made one short attempt at lifting the box and left it there for me to retrieve when I got home. If you're looking for a heavy duty adjustable mount you will be very happy with this one. Just make sure you eat your Wheaties before picking it up.

by:

Very happy with the fit and finish of the product. What I like most is the extra extension it allows for with out derating. My problem centered on tailgate clearence when in the open position. Tailgate would contact the edge of the tounge jack. This solved that problem plus now I don't need to carry seperate ball mounts for my boat or enclosed trailer

by:

George H. is correct--the "powder coating" is just silly and came off almost immediately. However, I have been using this this hitch for close to 2 years and it is the ultimate in convenience for both height and ball size differences between trailers. Note, my 2005 F-150 hitch receiver has two pin positions for length and at least for me, there's no issue with the hitch being too long. Who cares if the finish comes off, as long as your trailer is secure? Awesome product.

by:

Received as advertised in a timely fashion. Only negative comment is that I had to take this ball mount to a welding shop and have the shank length cut back and pin position hole re-drilled. By the time you assemble this and mount to the coupler on the tow vehicle the ball location is way to far away from the vehicle and will cause an over amount of leverage. This could result in vehicle hitch failure. My suggestion is to have atleast two positioning holes in the shank so it can be adjusted to a desired length. Other than that this is a great alternative to caring around multiple size ball mounts.

by:

Fits our VW Touareg perfectly and allows us to tow a variety of things now. As can be seen in the pictures the hitch has a +5-inch gap between the bumper and the vertical adjustment pillar and the trailer itself is out further so there's enough room to get to the rear hatch and maneuver the vehicle/trailer.

A year later and I love this setup! Pulls our flatbed cargo trailer 1-7/8 and our 1976 Apache pop-up trailer 2, each of which are at different heights, too.

by:

I needed a hitch that I could haul my work trailer with and still drop the tailgate without dropping the trailer. I looked on etrailer and found one that would work barely but decided to call etrailer and see if anyone had any ideas. Steve answered and looked after I told him my requirements and came up with this. This has a longer distance from ball to pin by a few inches compared to the one I found so my tailgate will still drop even if I’m at an angle to my trailer or on a hill. Also with the adjustable height it’s great. Awesome hitch. Solid for a good price. ??

by:

Hitch is a solid unit. I bought this to accommodate my 10,000lb hitch. Adjusts easily to get the right ride height. No issues with the hitch at all.

The hitch is still working great. Allows me to tow my 30ft Regal boat and Continental trailer with no issues.

by:

Picked up my teardrop in ABQ on 2/17/23, and the Curt ball mount lined up perfectly with no drop/rise, and the extra length gave clearance for my rear door mounted spare tire. This mount is a beast, and the "overbuilt" nature of it gave me confidence that my Bronco would tow the teardrop easily. I also got the Curt Echo wireless brake controller, which synced easily to my phone and was easy to install, set up, and use. Overall a great towing experience, thanks to etrailer and Curt!

by:

Coming in at about 45 pounds, the D900 Curt Multi-Ball Adjustable Ball Mount is a BEAST!
I purchased for use with my '08 Expedition towing either a small utility trailer w/ 1 7/8" ball or my DooLittle Bullitt cargo trailer w/ 2" ball.
I needed 5 inches of drop (at least) for both.
This is just about the only economical mount in which to accomplish this. Most if not all two ball mounts are 2" and 2 5/16" balls.
Many reviews comment on the length that this mount sticks out and initially that was a concern of mine.
Please see the Q&A of the D900 product page to address those issues.
Short story: A hollow/tubular extension shank of (about or greater)15" reduces vehicle hitch capacity by 50%.
The D900 shank and other components are SOLID steel. No reduced capacity.
Specifically in my case; this extra length will allow me some personal maneuvering room when hooked up to the DooLittle and raising the lift gate of my Expedition.
Clearance between raised lift gate and cargo trailer was about two inches using my old shank, and I should about double that.
The anti-rattle tightening bolt is a nice touch.
This is my first Etrailer purchase, but not my last.

by:

Quaility is top notch, price is great, can't beat it. It's perfect if you need a little more distance from your hitch and your bumper. I did not get a extended A frame on my trailer and with this hitch it works great. I'm pulling a 24ft cargo trailer 10k rating.
I added 4 locking pins so I don't have to worry about anything missing.

by:

I have nothing but good things to say about this hitch all the way around. It's been a year and I have had zero problems. Easy on line ordering, fast shipping and arrival, good quality. Will never buy my trailering needs anywhere else.

  • Extra Long Adjustable Ball Mount Recommendation for Towing a Trailer
The best option we have for this is the 22K BulletProof Hitches 2-Ball Mount # HD208 which offers a 9-1/4" drop or 9-1/2" rise and measures 15-3/8" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the hitch ball. I also recommend securing your investment with a locking hitch pin like part # 34061074-D which is just for the shank or part # 34061674-D which is for the shank and the ball mount platform. Yes, the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e44KR fits your 1995 Chevy S-10 and is rated to tow up to 4,000 lbs with a 400 lb tongue weight. I really like this hitch because of the matte black finish that not only looks more rugged but is also more durable than the classic glossy black finish against road debris. The next thing you need for your towing setup you also need the Curt T-Connector Wiring # C55312 and mounting brackets # 18144 and # C57202. This gives you a way to place the wiring...

  • Recommended Hitch and Wiring to Tow 3500-lbs Trailer with 2021 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C93CR that fits the 2021 VW Atlas Cross Sport has a maximum towing capacity of 5000-lbs (the same as your 2021 VW Atlas), so this hitch is rated just fine to tow a 3500-lbs trailer and will do a good job. Curt hitches have a thicker powder coat than some others on the market, which helps protect the hitch from nicks that might lead to rust and corrosion on the hitch, so it's generally what I recommend using. To tow your trailer you will ideally want to go with a ball mount that will give you a 7 inch drop. The # D900 can do up to a 6 inch drop. Which if the rear suspension of your vehicle will sag slightly when it is hooked up to the trailer then it will end up being about right.
