Question:

Hi, I am looking for a 2 5/16inch ball mount and possibly sway control for towing a 2021 Airstream Caravel 16RB with a 2022 Land Rover Discovery R-Dynamic HSE. What would you recommend? The vehicle has a 2inch receiver factory installed. Thank you.

I do have one recommendation as your 2022 Land Rover Discovery is not recommended for using a weight and sway distribution hitch.

For your receiver it is important to determine how much drop or rise there is between your Land Rover and your 2021 Airstream Caravel 16RB. I recommend the Curt Rebellion XD Shock Absorbing Adjustable Ball Mount # C83WR as this is a shock absorbing hitch. It will help to reduce the road shock and jerking that you get with a standard ball mount. The ball is adjustable up to a 6" drop. If you have a different drop between your Airstream and Discovery please let me know and I can make another recommendation based on that measurement.

For a sway control I recommend the Tuson Asymmetric Sway Control # 335TSC-1000. This is a stand alone electric sway controller that stays mounted to your Airstream. It controls the brakes independently to eliminate sway from occurring. There is a LED status light that will mount on the front of the Airstream allowing you to see when the system is working.
