Question:
Good evening, Wish you and your team are staying safe and in good health! Sorry Im new when it comes to tow a trailer thus wish to consult experts like you! I have 2013 Nissan Sentra SV - thinking to rent a U-Haul cargo trailer 4x8, or preferably 5x8 for towing some light furniture for moving. May I ask is it possible and safe to do so? If yes - what are the parts that you would recommend? I also hope to be able to tow a light camper in the near future. Thank you very much for your time to answer my question!

Hi, For your 2013 Nissan Sentra SV I would use the Curt trailer hitch receiver custom fit # C11349 it does not require any drilling holes in the frame of your car. Just needs one hole made wider. You will also need a ball mount like the Curt Class II drawbar # C45521 and ball like the Curt 2" Hitch Ball # 40038 and a wire harness like the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector # C56205.
The two hitches we do carry offer the same towing capability, you will see in the video. 200 pound tongue weight and 2000 pound gross trailer weight. Make sure the camper you decide to use in the future is within the weight tolerance of your vehicle and the hitch itself, to find the gross vehicle weight rating and axle ratings your owners manual will tell you to see the FMVSS/CMVSS certification label on the center pillar between the driver's side front and rear door.
It will be safe as long as you keep the trailer loaded properly, you will want 10-15% of the trailer weight on the tongue. Your trailer should not be heavier than the vehicle you are pulling it with. Again refer to the certification label by the driver side door for exact towing weights and capabilities.
I have attached a link with a video to help you see the two different hitches we offer for your 2013 Nissan Sentra
SV.
