Question:
Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable for Swagman Bike Racks w/ 2 inch Shanks - 8-1/2 inch My Father in Law owns a Reese Outfitter Adventure 4 Bike Hitch Rack. Its an older rack and he has since misplaced/lost the threaded hitch pin. Im looking to purchase a locking anti wobble hitch pin and was looking for a little more information about the above mentioned product, specifically the threading. I have been able to successfully thread a 5/8inch - 11 standard bolt through the bike racks threaded nut. Is the pin above a 5/8-11 thread? Do you think this locking pin would work with the bike rack in question or do you have a better suggestion for what I could use. Thanks for your help!

The Swagman lock you asked about is 5/8" diameter, but has longer TPI, and there isn't a hitch lock that we offer that can work with the Reese Outfitter Adventure bike rack you have. The best option is going to be a cable lock that you can wrap around the bike rack and attach through the chain anchors in the hitch or around the hitch itself. You can go with one that has keys or a combination if that is easier:
- Master Lock Quantum Self-Coiling, Combination Cable Lock - 1/2" Diameter x 6' Long # 8122D
- Malone LockUp Cable Lock - 8' Long # MPG356
Either would work as a way to secure the bike rack to the hitch for added protection.
