How To Prevent Trailer Bounce While Towing with a 2021 Ford Ranger

Question:

Towed Jayco 145rb with 2011 Ford Escape fine. Bought a 2021 Ford Ranger and on our street the bounce over manhole covers in terrible. My wife will not go with the trailer. Trailer weight 2600, 3000 with load, tongue weight 250 , trailer riding level. We have not used sway or load level assistance. Do you know what can fix this.

A simple set of suspension enhancements should help tremendously with bounce while towing with a 2021 Ford Ranger. I recommend the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SS76MR which provides a bit of cushion as well as support without sacrificing ride quality. They are also simple to install and cost effective.

If you have issues with sag/squat or trailer sway then you can look into a weight distribution system but these require more setup each time and can restrict turning and reversing so it's best to look at suspension enhancements first.
