1,000-lb Capacity. Upgrade your vehicle's rear suspension with these maintenance-free helper springs. Sturdy microcellular urethane springs cushion bumps and help support a heavy load to level your ride and minimize sway. No-drill installation.
Features:
Specs:
Towing or hauling a heavy load can cause rear sag as your factory suspension compresses under the weight of the load. This means that the rear axle is trying to support not only the extra load but also the weight of your vehicle. And because there is less weight on your front axle, your front tires make less contact with the road, which causes problems with traction, steering, and braking. SumoSprings upgrade your vehicle's factory suspension to level your vehicle, improve driving performance, and keep your ride comfortable.
SumoSprings provide progressive load control - the more you load them, the stiffer they become. With a lighter load, the springs will compress easily for soft engagement and a less bumpy ride. The closed-cell urethane material allows for smooth contact between the springs and your vehicle. And the springs act like a shock absorber to dampen road vibration.
The springs can also compress by as much as 80 percent to support a heavy rear load and to help your factory suspension bear up under the load. This evens out the weight, which levels your vehicle and ensures that your front tires are making better contact with the road. A level ride means that you have improved driving control, ensures safe headlight aim, and helps to minimize sway. The springs also support your factory suspension, which helps prevent sagging and reduces bottoming out.
The springs work independently from one another to support each side of your vehicle. This action helps to reduce body roll when you make a sharp turn. This also helps compensate for an off-center load.
These microcellular urethane springs are tough. They resist abrasion, oil, salt, and UV rays that can more quickly wear out other springs, and they perform well in temperatures ranging from -25 F to 200 F (-33 C to 93 C).
SumoSprings compress vertically with minimum expansion to the sides, so they won't be damaged by nearby mechanical parts and they fit safely into tighter spots. And unlike air springs, SumoSprings require no maintenance or adjustment.
The helper springs are custom designed to fit your vehicle, and they install easily - no drilling required.
I've been very pleased with my sumo springs! Put them on my 2019 ford randger and drove fully loaded 7.5k trailer from Oregon to Indianapolis and the setup drove great. Very little squate, very comfotable, and safe. Now the truck drive stiffer but not bad I still have them on and I hardly ever tow anything anymore.
Easy shopping, fast shipping.
Don’t shear the bolts off!!!!!
After drilling out the rusted bolt I sheared off removing the old bump stops, they installed quickly and easily. I soaked the other bolt in penetrating oil and it did not shear off. That one installed easily.
Have about 1500 miles towing with these, what a difference. It really makes towing much more stable. It does ride stiffer unloaded, but it not terrible.
Works great on 2020 ford ranger. Left out the extra spacer because I don't want it riding on the leaf spring all the time. This gave it almost an inch clearance before the sumo touches and starts to help. That is what I wanted to not have it as stiff initially offroad, etc.

Still. holding up like new about 15k miles later with towing and loads.
These made a huge difference. I towed a travel trailer and the roads around me are pretty horrible. These springs made a big difference in our ride comfort and I couldn’t even tell they were there when unloaded. I highly recommend these if you tow on a regular basis.
These were a great replacement for the included OEM bump stops that were basically worthless. I was able to max out towing capacity without blinding oncoming traffic. Handling is greatly enhanced while towing. Install was incredibly quick and easy by removing the wheels for direct access. Only drawback is unloaded ride is now a little harsh.
They do a good job. After the install we brought home a ton of home heating pellets on our utility trailer. Barely any rear suspension drop at all. They're a simple part that's easy to install and they do the job. One tip tho, be sure to heat the old bolts to ease the removal of the original parts.
After a year, very good suspension enhancement. The initial install was a pain only because I sheared the factory bolt in the original bump stop trying to remove it. Had to drill out and re-tap for new Sumo spring bolt.
Put on Sumo springs helper springs on my 2022 Ford Ranger and it was easy to install. They work great on hitting any bumps and when pulling my travel trailer. Would recommend them for sure.
Helped reduce squat on tow vehicle while towing which is just what we wanted.
Used for '21 ford ranger for towing 5500lb travel trailer. Helps with squat and ride, good option. Didn't use 1/2 puck, but will need to go back and add to further reduce squat.
These are too stiff for a Ranger. Feels like driving around on your bumpstops.
Great service and great products always from you guys
Factory bump stops too short with new leaf pack this solved the problem
The product is perfect and It arrived here sooner than the tracking indicated.
Fits great, 20 minute install. Works as advertised. Whats not to like?
