Question:

How can I verify the replacement control box is the right part I need? My chair will not close, but all other functions and LED blue lights work. After flipping the chair over, its obvious the chair has been messed with before as the plastic box is missing leaving the circuit board exposed to the mechanical moving parts. I found the microswitch that controls the close function broken, but by pushing the microswitch back down on the circuit board, the chair closed, so Im confident this is problem. So are the control boxes different from a right arm rest vs a left arm rest recliner set? The left arm recliner works great, but the SN on that plastic box is different from the SN your company has listed and since I dont have the plastic control box for the right rest recliner, I have no idea what that SN may be. Bottom line I dont want to spend my money and find out its the wrong part.

The Replacement Power Control Box for Thomas Payne Seismic Recliners and Sofas # LC36FR is the correct part for your Thomas Payne Seismic Series Recliner. If you have not already, preform a hard reset on your chair before continuing. To do this unplug the chair and wait about 10-15 minutes and attempt to close the chair. If that does not solve your problem, you more than likely have a problem with the control box.
