I pulled a Dutton-Lainson Extra Offset Trailer Spare Tire Carrier # DL22145 to measure for you. Check out the picture I attached that shows the dimensions.
From the trailer frame surface to the closest portion of the mounting flange will be 7-1/2 inches. From the frame surface to where the mounting flange touches the extension piece on the close side is 8-1/4 inches and on the further away side is 9-1/2 inches.
