Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Lippert Screen Assist, RV screen door handle for motor homes. Now this part will protect the screen on your screen door, By adding this durable, aluminum and plastic push bar handle. And this push bar will serve as a handle to help protect the screen door from daily wear and tear. It will also provide an additional brace to further strengthen the door.
And it'll also prevent you from having to reach too far out to close the door. Basically the push bar here, we'll install onto the inside of your screen door. Now, drilling is required. Now it does come with everything shown here on the table. Just to zoom in and show you the parts.
It'll come with this 20" long push bar, which is aluminum. Comes with the two sleeves here, With the mounting brackets attached to it. Basically those sleeves you can see we'll just slide onto the ends, and then adjust it to fit your size door. Does also come with the lever handle sleeve and the lever handle, that's used on the Lippert doors. Comes with the eight screws, and a nice set of instructions that'll describe how this installs.
Now this is a durable, aluminum and plastic construction. It is corrosion resistant. It is a universal design, it will fit most RV camper and trailer screen doors. And it is designed to fit RV camper and trailer doors, with rough openings between 26-30". Now, we mentioned the integrated unlatching feature.
This will work with the Lippert screen door lever style handles. And these parts are made in the USA, but again, you can see how it'll just slide into the sleeves here. And then again, you just adjust it, slide it to the length you need. And then there's your mounting brackets, it comes with the screws. But, that should do it for the review on the Lippert Screen Assist RV screen door handle for motor homes..
Just installed the screen door push bar. Easy install just a bit tricky to mount the bracket on the narrow screen door (3/8" wide) without the self tapping screws walking. Definitely use a punch to set the holes. Should make the screen door easier to open. Actually caught a t-shirt sleeve on the original handle and put a hole in the shirt. So it's a safety thing too!
The camper should have come with this from the factory. It is so natural to have a handle there, it takes no time to get used to. It was easy to install. You do need to drill holes for the screws but almost anybody could do this insatll.
I have not used this product as of yet. I will be installing this in my InTech RV this weekend. You can reach out to me after I installed it...??

It works fine, I installed on my first camper and now I've installed on my new camper as well.
The installation was easy, the directions was okay, but the product is solid. We use our travel trailer several times a year and that bar makes getting in and out of the trailer with both hands full, a cinch.

No issues or maintenance on the push bar. This is a solid useful product.
This worked as . But I don’t believe we needed it and was not as useful as anticipated. Well-made.
The order desk lady was super helpful and knowledgeable. The packaging was unbelievable super especially for the glass it protected. Thank you for making it enjoyable doing business with you guys.
One of the best and quickest add-on to our RV , works great can open screen door without hands , would Order again if needed

Although nothing wrong with product it does not fit on the screen door on our 2022 Imagine. Need to clarify units it will work on.

You mentioned that it was not a fit for you and I have a few questions that I wanted to ask. This bar is meant to be used with 26 inch to 30 inch wide doors. In what way was it not a fit? How wide is your door?

I got it to work. The way the screen door frame is the screws for the bracket landed in the screen bead channel, but I was able to line the bottom hole in the center of the cross bar and angle the bracket enough to get the screw out of the screen bead channel, so all is good now.

It will save a screen and some knuckles fumbing for the latch handle to hold on to
The push bar came within 2 days of ordering. Bar was easy to install and work as per the design.

Excellent Product really makes opening the door easier especially if you have something in you’re hands
Items arrived as advertised everything looks good. I've not installed them as yet; [vendor]. has had my rig since the 6th of July and as of today the 21st of July have not even gotten it in the shop yet. Their only interest is sales not service. "Buy your RV somewhere else."
It didn't last one trip and we replaced it with the less expensive camco version. It's flimsy.
We think we’re going to like it . Might need a few adjustments and some getting used to but I think we’ll be glad we added it
