Question:
Is it necesary to cut the trailer at the angle of the hinge or can it be a straight cut

I spoke with my contact at Fulton and he told me to install the Fulton # FHDPB330301, Fold-Away Coupler Hinge Kit, that the installation instructions direct you to make the cut straight.
There are stops inside the hinge that require you to make the cut straight and square as shown in the picture.
