Removing Tow Plug Cap on 2019 Cadillac XT5 to Install Curt Wiring Harness C56325

Question:
Is there a trick to removing the cap on the cadillac wire harness? I have been unable to pull it apart to install the new tow wire harness that I purchased from you. I see a red colored slide on the side of the connector that I slide open, but it still wont come apart.

There isn't a trick to removing the cap on the tow plug of your 2019 Cadillac XT5 to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56325.
I have added a link below to an installation video of this harness on an XT5, and at about the 2:30 mark you can see how our installer did it. What he did was slide the red tab away from the plug and up, and there will be a little gray tab to push down. I do highly recommend watching that portion of the video.
