This hitch is built for everyday towing and hauling. With a 5,000-lb maximum gross trailer weight and 750-lb tongue weight (6,000-lb GTW and 750-lb TW when used with weight distribution), it’s strong enough for campers, boats, or loaded cargo carriers. The 2" x 2" receiver is the standard size for most bike racks, ball mounts, and storage trays, so your favorite gear fits right in without adapters.
Everything about this hitch is set up for a straightforward install. It bolts to the vehicle’s frame using existing holes—no drilling or welding needed—and comes with the full hardware kit and instructions in the box. The precision robotic welding ensures all the mounting points line up perfectly, saving time for anyone tackling the project at home.
The sturdy square-tube steel construction gives this receiver the strength and durability you can count on for years of towing. A gloss black powder coat finish sits over a protective base coat to guard against rust and corrosion, so it stays looking clean even after road salt or wet conditions. It’s a simple, solid setup designed to handle real-world use trip after trip.
The concealed cross tube design leaves only the receiver visible once installed, keeping your bumper line neat and uncluttered. It blends in instead of hanging down, so you get the hitch functionality you need without changing the look of your vehicle’s rear end.

Fast shipping, all parts were there as well as the electrical connection taped to the inside of box. Directions were clear and process went well. Would recommend 2 for installation as suggested but I did have fun balancing one end of the hitch with a box while gently putting on nuts so as not to push bolt back through. My Golden Retriever had not heard so many new words. Call a friend to help.
Great product; thank you much.
Curt hitches never disappoint and the install video is awesome.

Excellent! We only buy Curt because it’s durable and excellent craftsmanship.

I have purchased 3 hitches for Cadillac SUV in past 6 years from etrailer. Hitch installation & wiring connection was a snap; taking about 30 minutes. It could not have been much easier locating & holding the nuts in place within the box frame sections. Since I was installing the unit by myself, I used a floor jack to hold it in position while getting bolts started on both sides. I will have an etrailer hitch on the next car.

No issues hitch is working great & looks like new.
Works great. Not as easy for my application on the installation, but finally got it.
Product arrived on time, excellent quality and a perfect fit for my car. The instructions are great .I have absolutely no complaints . I’ll totally recommend this company to all my friends. Good job keep it up.
Flawless purchase and delivery.
Hitch fit like a glove and instructions made it go seamlessly.
Easy to install. Great videos and have already recommended etrailer
quality = high! installation = straighforward. honestly, the hardest part was trying to remove the $#@!$^&*^ blind plug from the factory trailer wiring loom...LOL.
if not for that, install would have been done in under 30 minutes!
I’m a repeat customer: hitches, roof racks and bike racks.
Always great quality, prompt service and delivery.
I keep returning!
This is my 2nd order from ETrailer.com. I ordered this Curt hitch for my 2020 Cadillac XT5 along with the wiring connector. It came quickly and well packaged. I took it to a mechanic for installation, which looks clean. They charged $120 which I am comfortable with because labor is $150/man hour where I live. A dealer would have charged a lot more. Can't wait for the ice to melt so I can go open water fishing. Thank you ETrailer & Al Gore for inventing the internet

After 1 year, I can say the hitch has been reliable, everything is still tight, paint has not chipped or peeled

well packaged
installed in 25 minutes
thanks
installed very easy like the video said, and the one sensor was in the way just like the video said so it was very easy to put in under an hour
The beauty of the CURT hitch is that it is completely hidden from view if you put the license plate size bumper cover back on. I keep an 8.0 mm quick socket in my glovebox if I need to access the hitch. I LOVE NOT SEEING the hitch on a Cadillac when its not in use. The few extra dollars for the hidden CURT were well worth it.
Great videos guided me through the installation. Perfect fit and easy to install.

This trailer hitch was a perfect fit for my car and of the highest quality. The videos on the site made the installation very easy.
DIY installation was a breeze. I used a hydraulic jack to raise and hold in position the hitch receiver against the frame once ready to bolt in place. (Unlike other brands) there was no need to file or trim the vehicle frame - the spacers were the perfect size to slip through the access hole.
I am very impressed with the construction, welding, painting, and overall build quality.
I bought the Draw-Tite trailer hitch for my new 2020 Cadillac XT5. It really did not fit to my satisfaction. I contacted Michelle at etrailer and explained the issue and she arranged to have the hitch shipped back and a new Curt hitch shipped to me. The new hitch fitted perfect and was easy to install after watching the video. Thank you Michelle for the great customer service. etrailer made my experience a pleasure. I highly recommend them. A picture is attached.
Easy to install. The fishing tools made bolt installation a breeze.
Quick delivery, hitch came with everything to install it. hitch fit great. installed in 40 minuets
The Curt hitch cost a bit more than the Draw Tite, but I am drawn to "made in USA", which Curt bragged about, and Draw Tite doesn't mention..(ie made in China).
If you look at the pictures of both hitches, you can see that the Curt hitch has a considerably larger cross member, which, I feel, can account for at least 1/2 the difference in cost.
I was sold on etrailer because of their excellent video on you tube. The installation went without a 'hitch' (ouch!). The video was very accurate and explains everything extremely well. The only difference for me was that I did not have to enlarge the 'fishing' holes; mine is a 2018 XT5, and the holes were plenty large for the bolts and doublers. I also installed the Tekonsha 118720 wiring harness, which amounts to simply 'unplugging a dust cap, then plugging in the harness' - there is absolutely no reason for this to take more than 2 minutes....(it took me 5).
As many have noted, the hitch is pretty heavy (I'm guessing 40 to 50 lbs). The weight is not such a problem, except that it is also pretty awkward. What worked very well for me was to not raise the car at all. Where the cross tube, and the receiver tube meet (middle of the hitch) is braced with a large, flat plate (safety chain eyelets) this wide plate is ideal to set on a floor jack, and the hitch balances very well. My wife 'manned' the jack, and I rolled around on a creeper guiding the hitch into place. The 'fishing' wires are long enough that they can be passed through the hitch's bolt holes while the jack is still low. Keeping the wires tight as the jack is raised guides the hitch right into position. I had to 'wiggle' the hitch a little as it passed in between the muffler and the bumper cover, then I was home free!
I didn't really time the procedure, but I would estimate about an hour, start to finish. Not bad for a "mid 60's, fat, out of shape, fella" & his 60(ish) wife!
My trailer lights use the round, 6 pin connector, so I made a bracket that bolts to the cross tube, and holds the 6 pin receptacle. I then cut the 4 pin fitting off the wiring harness, and connected the wires to the receptacle.
Also, I didn't care for the idea of having to keep up with a 7mm nut driver, so I decided to install "Southco 1/4 turn wing fasteners".
Those last two projects took almost a whole day (including nap time!)
I attached pictures of the finished project. Probably doesn't show much..I didn't take pictures as I went.....& I'm not going back!
The trailer hitch is solid and well-made. The step-by-step instructions are excellent and make installation straightforward. If you have a floor jack, it’s an easy one-person install; otherwise, a second set of hands helps with alignment. I recommend re-torquing the bolts after 30–60 days of use. Overall, this is a high-quality product, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a reliable trailer hitch.
I’m am so happy with the parts for my Cadillac. The order was at my door within 2 days; that’s fast The videos and instructions were posh, proper and easy to understand.the hitch fit like a glove amazing company—Thank y
Easy installation, easy connection. All works as it should.
Perfect and installation was right on the money.
relatively easy to mount...the wire for threading bolts through the frame were NOT in my kit...overall I would recommend to anyone needing a hitch
