Expert Jon G responded: The Fastway e2 weight distribution WD 8,000 lb and 10,000 lb systems do use the same head units so you can easily use the 1,000 lb Trunnion Bars # FA92-01-1099 or 2 of the Rounds Bar # FA94-02-1099 with your current setup depending on which you have. My tongue weight is about 1k lbs and want to upgrade to the 12K rated system, will I need a new head unit? FA92-01-1299. My tongue weight for my new trailer is 947.

When changing the spring bar rating of a Fastway e2 weight distribution system like you are wanting to do with the part # FA92-01-1299 you do not have to change to a different head. So all you need is the upgraded spring bars and you'd be set.
