Question:
I was given a boat and trailer and the trailer is a dual axel and the drum brakes were locked up. I took the 82543 part off and the master brake cylinder off. It was filled with soot and It got hard like concrete. I cant move the trailer and I need to find a solution quick. The push rod looks like it broke I found a replacement kit but I cant get that soot out of the reservoir. Im trying to not spend alot of money but can you please Help me Im new to this but am a fast learner and would like to resolve this issue so I can check on the boat and get it ready to take out on the water..

I do have an option for you but the coupler on your trailer is very old and we simply don't carry parts for them anymore as they were discontinued by the manufacturer. Therefore, the only option we can offer is a new coupler, the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator part # DM72VR would be our best cost effective option.
If other parts aside from the master cylinder are bad then you'll spend more time and money then you would be just replacing the coupler from the start.
