Question:
I have a 2011 Subaru Forester with raised rails and need cross bars that will accommodate an older model Thule Hullavator. I’m looking for the least expensive option. What are my options? Thanks.

Your least expensive option would be to go with an Inno roof rack. Your older Thule Hullavator was designed to go with either square crossbars or round crossbars. The Inno rack uses square crossbars that are the same dimension as Thule's square crossbars. Your rack will consist of the following;
Inno Square Crossbars - Steel - Black - 50" Long - Qty 2, part # INB127 or
Inno Square Crossbars - Steel - Black - 58" Long - Qty 2, part # INB147 and
Inno Feet for Square Crossbars - Raised Side Rails - Black - Qty 4, part # INFR.
This rack will have a weight limit of 140lbs. In order to use a Thule Hullavator you need to have between 4" and 8" of your crossbar extend beyond the feet of your roof rack. Your vehicle's actual roof rack fit will have 46" crossbars. Inno crossbar sizes go from 46" to 50" to 58". I am not sure of the size crossbars you need, though I do know that the 46" bars are too short. You will need to take the measurement between the rails on the roof of your vehicle. If that distance is less than 42", you will be able to use the 50" crossbars. If not your will have to use the 58" crossbars. There is a chance that the 58" bars are too long, meaning that they extend more than 8" beyond your roof rack's feet. If this is the case, you can cut the crossbars down to the correct length.
I have included product description links, a video review link, and a picture that shows the distance you need at the end of your crossbars below.
