If you have an existing roof rack system, the Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Carrier # TH690 is a compatible fit for your 2006 Toyota Tundra Double Cab. The size is custom-made for your vehicle, provides a quick, hassle-free assembly, and includes two adjustable Thule load bars that can be used for bike, ski, and water sport carriers. I have provided a link to a video showing the installation of this product on a 2013 Honda Ridgeline. While this isn't the same vehicle as yours, it is a similar installation process.
If you don't already have a roof rack, you can install one using the following parts from Inno:
Aero style crossbars # INXB153-2
Foot pack for Aero crossbars # INXS250
Custom roof rack foot pack # INK532
I also recommend the Thule Cargo Net # TH692 which will stretch over the carrier, securing its contents and attaching quickly with impact-resistance hooks. I have provided a link to a video review of this item.
Once you have your roof rack, a roof basket would be a great way to hold your gear. Take a look at the Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket, # TH859XT. It is made of Steel, with dimensions: 49" x 40" x 6", and can hold 150 lbs of cargo. This is a simple 2-piece carrier with easy installation. It includes custom fairing to help deflect win and its universal mounting hardware fits round, square, and most factory OEM racks. I have included a link to a video review of this product. This basket also offers and extension in part # TH8591XT if you need more room.
An adhesive sealant is advised for this type of rack, so I recommend Loctite Silicone Gasket Maker # LT37467. A link for installation details has also been included.
For the Thule cargo carrier, I recommend the Cargo Net # CS54FR, a wide bungee cargo net designed to hold gear more securely and without damage to sensitive or fragile cargo.
