Will the etrailer Trailer Hitch e98840 for 2017 Acura MDX Work for Boat Towing

I have a 2017 Acura MDX AWD base model, I was wondering if this hitch would be able to tow a boat and if this is the price for both the harness and hitch?

The # e98840 etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver has a maximum gross towing weight of 6,000 lbs and tongue weight of 900 lbs. As long as the boat you are towing does not exceed these weights the hitch will not have any issues. If you are towing a larger boat, it is possible to increase the gross towing weight to 8,000 lbs by using weight distribution. I also recommend checking your vehicle owner's manual for its specific capacities. You will need to follow whichever capacity is lower, the hitch or the vehicle's.

There is no wiring harness included with the hitch so that would require a separate purchase. I recommend the # 118289 T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector. This wiring harness is a custom fit for your 2017 Acura MDX and has a simple installation process.
