Question:

I am buying a Yakima Overhaul HD system for the bed of a truck. I also want to mount 2 Thule Hullavator TH898 on this rack system. The overhaul hd system appears to have the top channel needed to install the hullavators. The yakima crossbars come in 60 inch, 68 inch, and 78 inch. My kayaks are only 30 inches wide. Do you see a problem with this set up using the 68 inch wide crossbars?

While two Thule Hullavators will fit the dimensions of your 68-inch wide crossbars and are compatible with the t-channels on the Yakima HD bars on the Yakima Overhaul HD # Y01151-5868, one of the things to note is that the Hullavator requires 4-8 inches of crossbar space after the leg supports of the OverHaul HD in order to function properly. Since every ladder rack fits every truck model differently, I recommend measuring your crossbars outisde of your truck's bed rails to see if there is 4-8 inches of leftover crossbars space depending on if you want the 60-inch, 68-inch, or 78-inch bars.
