Is it possible to install a Thule Hullavator Pro on Yakima HD Bars?

Yes. The Thule Hullavator Pro # TH898 will fit on Yakima HD Crossbars like the # Y01157 mounted either in the channels or using the clamp on mounts. Since the Hullavator Pro does not come with locks included you may want to consider adding those with the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders - Qty 2 # TH450200 to help keep the carrier and boats from walking away while you're out on the water.

I saw a comment about the end caps on the HD bars interfering with the hullavators. Can you confirm that the hullavator will work with the hd bars?

@Carol yes, I can confirm the Thule Hullavator Pro # TH898 works with the Yakima HD bars. We have had many customers order and successfully install this kayak carrier/roof rack combination.

Hi I have the Yakima HD bars. I’m trying to install the Thule Hullavator in the channels as the bars are too thick to do it the other way. How does it work? I have the T on the top of the bars but the Thule piece doesn’t fit inside? Is there a video? Many thanks

@Cheri The Thule Hullivator # TH898 should be fitting in the channels of your Yakima HD crossbars # Y01157. Can you send me pictures of your bars installed by replying directly to the email that you receive?
