Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System for a 2012 Ram 2WD Regular Cab

Updated 04/17/2013 | Published 04/16/2013

Question:

Have a 2012 Dodge Ram 2WD regular cab that I carry a veterinary box permanently mounted onto bed. Weight approximately 1000-1200 lbs. Want to level box. A bit confused as to which spring is appropriate for application. Do you recommend the TDR1500 or TDR1500DQ due to the constant weight? Would I need a spacer to keep the rear level or slightly higher than the front? Thanks

If your 2012 Ram is a 1500 model, I recommend the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement, # TDR1500DS. These springs have a 6,000 lb weight capacity and can be installed on trucks with or without overload springs and you do not need to install spacers.

The weight capacity of these springs is more than enough to support your veterinary box in your bed. These springs work well with consistent loads. The Timbren springs, # TDR1500DQ, that you referenced were designed for the crew and quad cab models only and would not be a good fit for your truck.

If your truck is a 2500 model, then you can use the Timbren Springs, # TDR2500CA, or for a 3500 model, you can use part # TDR3500CA.
