Features to know about

Keep the Rear End Level and Stable: 500–2,000 lbs of Load-Leveling Support

Heavy loads can make the rear of your truck sag and throw off handling. Firestone Coil-Rite air helper springs add 500 to 2,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity to keep things level when hauling tools, gear, or a trailer. The air springs fit inside your existing rear coil springs to share the weight, improving braking, steering balance, and tire wear while keeping headlight aim steady.

Tune Ride Comfort for Every Trip: 5–70 psi Adjustable Air Pressure

Every haul is different, and these air springs let you dial in pressure from 5 psi up to 70 psi to match it. Add air when carrying something heavy to keep the suspension firm and stable, or let some out when running empty for a softer ride. Each side can be adjusted separately through individual manual inflation valves, so you can level off-center loads and reduce body roll on uneven roads.

Smooth Out Bumps and Prevent Bottoming Out: Elastic Polyurethane Construction

Rough roads or heavy trailers can cause harsh contact between the axle and frame. The Coil-Rite springs cushion that impact with flexible, elastic polyurethane that absorbs road shock for a smoother ride. That extra give helps prevent bottoming out under load and keeps the truck feeling controlled even on rough pavement or steep grades.

Set Up Once and Haul With Confidence: No-Drill Installation Kit Included

Getting these installed doesn’t require cutting or drilling into your truck’s frame. The custom-fit design mounts inside the existing spring seats using the included brackets, hardware, air line, and valves for manual inflation. Everything needed for setup is in the box, so you can install it cleanly with basic tools and get back to hauling without downtime.

They are working great! Air pressure holds constant. Provided the little extra lift I was looking for

by:

They look good. I have a new truck coming shortly So when I get them in I will Let you know how I like them

by:

Absolutely love these. Made towing my Rv a breeze. Highly recommend them.

by:

Overall almost great! When towing my 26' RV you can tell/feel the difference. One bag has a very small leak. I have taken the lines off twice and re-attached them. One bag never leaks. I would still recommend them.

by:

They don't fit. I would like to return them

by:

Easy to install and really helped to keep truck level.

by:

Worked great, would recommend this product, etrailer was very helpful finding me the parts I needed

by:

Works great towing my trailer. A little rougher ride without the trailer, but knew that at the start

by:

Exactly what I need, truck would settle with camper hitched up, now it doesn't. Simple easy fix

by:

Really helped with the ride quality when towing.I installed these in my Ram in my driveway with the help of some jackstands.

by:

Install was straight forward. However, The connectors are fragile and must be secured with great care. They are easily fractured and prone to leaks. Impossible to fix without wheel removal and spring removal. Once connected securely, it works well.

by:

Superior to previous brand of air bags installed on older Ram. Firestones are less expensive, retain pressure setting and are easier to install.

by:

First and second set I tested before fitting them and they both leaked from the pvc pipes to the metal fittings. etrailer replaced the first set. When the second set leaked I cut the connection off and heated the pvc and joined it to the metal fitting, no leaks and works well.

by:

Excellent transaction, quick shipping and a great price thank you !!

by:

Install was not easy, would recommend just removing the coil spring vs struggling trying to shove the bag between coils. I struggled for about half a day before I was finally able to get both sides in. After installation, one side was leaking from the crimped connection between the air line and the brass fitting on the air bag side. This is not something that can be repaired. etrailer wouldn't help because of the time since my order (took me outside of their 60 day return period to install the bags) although reading their policies, they only allow returns of unissued items anyway so not sure if they would have helped anyway. Trying to work directly with Firestone to get a new air line so we'll see what happens.

by:

Overall great product it has performed exactly as I needed. However it is not an easy install at all. I am a very experienced mechanic and I ended up taking it to a garage that had a lift. They had to drop the rear axle down to get air bags in springs. That cost me another $200. The mechanics exact comment was " you would have never got these in without a lift". I would buy again but I would not attempt without a lift.

by:

This is the best addition I've ever made to a tow vehicle! I have a 2020 Ram eco-diesel and I pull a 2016 Rockwood 25' travel trailer. Combined weight is about 11,000 lbs. These air bags help the truck handle much more confidently. My wife noticed a difference on our last trip (2200 miles round trip). The half ton Ram does a great job, the bags eliminate the little bit of squat. The level combination makes towing a breeze. The only hang up is installation. They do not squeeze between the spring coils. I installed mine at home but it wasn't easy.

Wonderful! A valuable tool for safe towing.

Looks perfect

by:

First I'll say these work great. 45 lbs in them on my Ram 1500 and I have a fully loaded bed, plus a 29 ft camper fully loaded with water, and my truck is level. Two reasons for not giving them 5 stars.
The plate at the top of the airbags needs to be checked periodically if at lower levels or before inflation because of the "universal" fit. It can tilt weird. Second, the instructions seem simple enough but it still took 3.5 hours, in the shop, and even had to drop the axel to get them in easier. I'd love to see someone try to put these in while trying to do it in their driveway.

by:

We travel full time towing our travel trailer. After 3 years with the other air bags they finally developed a leak. These are the replacements and are capable of holding higher psi. Don’t need the mx psi but nice to not come close to max of 50. Will install on a few weeks.

by:

Installed on my 2020 Ram 1500 4x4 ecodiesel. Took about 1 hour. Jacked up rear of vehicle to let coil spread out a little. Bags went in easy. Air lines were simple to run. Bought the union T-valve so I could air the bags up at same time and to make sure equal PSI goes to each bag.

They still working great. Only minor issue is the line that threads onto bags do come lose and cause air leakage. Recommend locktite to solve the issue.

by:

After installation we are towing on the level and enjoying the ride. In an effort to maintain the minimum air pressure to each Coil-Rite Helper at all times, we installed individual air supplies to each Helper. We used our onboard Horn-Blaster air compressor to supply two air pressure regulators allowing us to easily change air pressure to each individual helper as desired. Each regulator employs a check-valve to maintain pressure to the Helpers in case of a compressor failure. We have marked each pressure gauge to the minimum pressure and another mark for our desired towing pressure.

Working Good! Although the air fitting on the starboard Coil-Rite came loose last month. We tightened it down as instructed and then generously coated the fitting with gasket maker. I doubt that will back out again. These Firestone Coil-Rite Helper Springs greatly improved our towing experience. Our regulator system allowed us to easily adjust the pressure to the each time we unhitched, which allows the truck headlights to be properly adjusted.

by:

Installation was harder than one would think, but it eliminated the squat my ram 1500 would do on even light trailers. It rides great and has been trouble free.

@John Glad they worked for you while you had the truck. Did you end up getting a new truck to replace the Ram?

by:

my air bags for my 23 ram were easy to install, the service was excellent. I will be telling every body I know about how friendly and easy it was to order from you.

by:

It fit great. And works like a champ... I couldn't be happier with these air helper springs! E trailer made it easy and they followed up with me to make sure i'm pleased with the product... Very happy with the service.

  • Do I Want Air Lift Coil Springs and Timbrens for Towing with My 2020 RAM 1500 Laramie?
Hello Mark, Great question. Timbrens are a solid product, and I do like them a lot in the right situation. I typically only recommend them for vehicles that are under a constant load, like a work truck that always has equipment in the bed. When the truck is unloaded, Timbrens can sometimes cause a noticeably harsher ride since they are always engaged. I am not sure where you are located, but here in Missouri we might as well be driving on one giant pothole, so ride quality definitely matters. A...

  • Difference Between Firestone Air Bags F4130 And F66XV For A 2025 Ram 1500
Hi Gil! Good catch. The Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle # F4130 does indeed have 2,000 pounds of capacity, just like the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Bags w/ Easy Mount Compressor and In-Cab Control - Single Path - 2,000 lbs # F66XV. I am having our listing for it updated to reflect this as well. They are the same bags and the # F66XV is in all in one kit that includes the bags and the compressor. The # F4130 is just the bags. What kind of trailer will you be towing with...

  • How To Select The Correct Air Bag Helper Springs For a 2019 Ram 1500
When selecting air bag helper springs I like to take into consideration not only the weight the truck can haul but also how often the truck carries heavy loads. As I see you have a 2019 Ram 1500 you have a few options. Do remember these will not increase payload or towing capabilities, they only improve vehicle stability and safety when carrying loads. The Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs # F4130 are the lightest option. These have a capacity of 500-1,000lbs. I recommend these for...

  • Comparing SumoSprings and Firestone Air Springs for 2020 Ram 1500
As you mentioned, there are some pretty big differences between a jounce-style spring setup like the SumoSprings # SSR-307-47 and an air bag kit like the Firestone # F4130 for your 2020 Ram 1500, both in terms of install/maintenance and actual performance. The jounce springs definitely offer the easier install and require no maintenance thereafter, while the air bags are bit more intensive to setup and would need to be adjusted based on your truck's load. If you are okay with this though...

  • How To Help Prevent Sag While Towing with a 2019 Ram 1500
In order to help prevent sag while towing with a 2019 Ram 1500 (4x4 or 4x2) you have a few options, the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-307-47 or the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F4130. The Coil-Rite Springs are nice because you can adjust them for varying loads whereas the SumoSprings are non-adjustable. The SumoSprings however are maintenance free whereas the Coil-Rite Springs are not. That said, the adjustability of the Coil-Rite Springs exceeds the...

A minimum of 5 psi must be in the air bags at all times, so the rating is measured before the load is on the truck for the Coil-Rite air bags that fit your 2019 Ram 1500, which are the following part: - Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs # F4130 I have added a link below to a video review for you to check out as well if you'd like to take a look.

You've got what's called a Carolina lift and there's nothing I can do for you that'll fix it. The Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs item # F4130 or any other suspension enhancement won't raise your stock ride height which is what you need. They're all designed to keep the suspension from sagging when under pressure from a heavy load in the bed or the tongue weight of a trailer pushing it down. Yes, the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle # F4130 you were looking at are confirmed to fit your 2021 Ram 1500 as long at it is not the Rebel model and the 1000lb load leveling capacity will do a great job of supporting your rear suspension when your 9000lb trailer with 800lb tongue weight is hitched.
