Would this work with a model year 2016 that also has 3inch factory receiver?

I am a bit confused, because I was under the impression that Ford didn't begin offering the 3 inch hitch until the 2017 model year.

As long as the hitch on your 2016 Ford truck is the 3 inch factory receiver, the Torklift # TLE1636 will be compatible.

if you need an extension for the 7-way trailer connector, use part # TLW6036.
